Graphics Cards for GPU Mining

Are you’re thinking about building a Bitcoin or Zcash or Ethereum GPU mining rig? CryptoRigs is your one-stop online mining shop for the best mining GPUs you can buy today!

Not all GPU’s are created equal. Some GPU’s mine certain algorithms/coins better then others. For example, NVIDIA GPU’s are better at mining Zcash while AMD GPU’s are more successful mining Ethereum. It is important to decide what you want to mine before purchasing or sourcing your GPU’s. Currently, Ethereum is the most profitable coin to mine. The good part about GPU mining is that unlike ASIC miners, they can mine any algorithm (although some more successful than others).

Your System’s Hardware and Software Also Count

There’s more to successful cryptocurrency mining than getting a great graphics card. On the hardware side, we recommend at least the following system specs:

  • At least 4 GB of system RAM. (DDR4 will suffice, as it needn’t be the fastest.)
  • A riser cable for each graphics card, in order to connect it to your motherboard.
  • A case with good airflow. (If you wish to use multiple GPU cards, you can use an equally well-ventilated rack solution.)
  • A solid-state drive is recommended. (This device will speed up the read/write operations of your mining software and operating system.)
  • A reliable power supply with some spare capacity.
  • A reasonably fast internet connection.

Note that buying used GPU’s from crypto miners are not recommended, due to the wear and tear mining places on graphics cards. If you resell your graphics card after it’s no longer useful for mining, you should mention that it was used for mining, then price it accordingly.
